Land Management
The Gnaraloo Station Trust collects data from a number of monitoring sites on the Gnaraloo pastoral lease to assess trends in the condition of the rangeland. The survey data is provided to Government to provide a general picture of land condition over the long term.
The monitoring sites are designed to provide data that can be used to establish rangeland condition trend. This is done by counting the number of plants or measuring grass cover in a given area, making observations about soil surface condition and taking photographic evidence of the monitoring site every three years.
