Participation opportunities for schools, community groups and guests

You can help the Gnaraloo turtles by spending your next holiday at Gnaraloo as this helps to fund the Gnaraloo Turtle Conservation Program. You may share in the turtle research work through educational field excursions at Gnaraloo and/or educational presentations at schools during the turtle season.

We do not offer turtle contact, but interpret and work with tracks! You may participate with the seasonal GTCP through educational field excursions at Gnaraloo from 1 December to 1 February each year. This opportunity is also available to primary and high school groups. You may accompany the GTCP field research team during their scientific research surveys, learn how to watch nesting females without disturbing them and what steps to take in your everyday life to contribute to turtle and marine conservation!

The GTCP also offers educational presentations about sea turtles and marine conservation for primary and high schools in Australia and overseas during March to May each year.

GTCP Community School Program

There is no cost for participation with the GTCP whether you stay at 3Mile Camp or the Gnaraloo Homestead area (standard accommodation prices apply). We do not accept day visitors or passers-by into the turtle program. To participate with the GTCP, you must be a guest of Gnaraloo or participate under the GTCP Community and Schools Program.
