Foxes have been a significant predator to turtle clutch survival rates at Gnaraloo and foxes are currently listed nationally as a key threatening process.  Limpus (2008) suggests that it is highly probable that egg loss to foxes and vehicle traffic in recent years has exceeded the suatainable level of loss for the Western Australian Loggerhead Turtle population.
