Gnaraloo Fox Control Program - Reports 08/09

The presence of foxes in turtle rookeries along Gnaraloo beaches result in predation of eggs during the nesting period and hatchlings later in the season. Under guidance of expert advice and in partnership with DEC, Gnaraloo introduced fox control measures in 2008 to immediately reduce fox numbers in turtle breeding areas and adjacent buffer zones at Gnaraloo to protect turtle rookeries.
