About

Gnaraloo is a working pastoral stationand wilderness tourism business, located next to the Ningaloo Marine Park. Approximately 150 kilometers north of Carnarvon, in Western Australia, Gnaraloo comprises a 90,000 hectare area, with approximately 65 kilometers of coastline!

Gnaraloo is all about experiencing the area around you, spending time with friends and family, enjoying your chosen sport or activity - or lack of it! Please come prepared for basic facilities, ongoing development work and to be living close to nature. The tourist facilities at Gnaraloo are very much a ‘work in progress'; However we expect that you will not be disappointed with your experience here. A large portion of our customers have been coming here for years - some for generations!

Gnaraloo Ethos

We believe in responsible travel that allows people to experience pristine, fragile and natural areas in a sustainable and low impact way. Our wilderness tourism operation respects nature, and maintains our environmental and social responsibility through our conservation work.

We aim to protect this area so current and future generations may enjoy and experience the beauty of the Gnaraloo coastline. We continue to meet these goals by:

  • Operating a pastoraland wilderness tourism business, based on principles of Wise and Responsible use and enjoyment;
  • Meeting the expectations and requirements of the public, visitor and Government agency for recreational access and use of the Gnaraloo coastline;
  • Managing visitation of Gnaraloo to protect the environment and to provide amenities, including required infrastructure and services;
  • Protecting critical coastal habitats and giving back through initiatives such as the Gnaraloo sea turtle conservation programGTCP that targets endangered and vulnerable marine species;
  • Raising awareness and increasing scientific, volunteer and community engagement in conservation issues.
